For Emily . . .

"For Emily"
A year so so ago, a friend asked me to make a memory mirror for her. She loved it!

A couple of months ago, she asked me to make a second memory mirror for her niece 'Emily', who is 10 years old.  She collected a few bits and baubles to include on the mirror, little mementos that are meaningful to little Emily.  There were sea shells, origami figures, a valentine note from her 'papa', and of course a little picture of Emily, herself. . . to these I added other fun treasures for Emily to enjoy, fishes, buttons, butterflies, a tiny Snoopy, keys, stars, hearts and even a frog.

Emily will see her new mirror on Christmas morning.  I hope she loves it. I hope, too, that it brings her joy for many, many years to come.

  6. Rebecca, Hi! I've had a frame I was wondering what to do with and maybe it could be a memory frame! The Barbie's are still in a state of indecency and the head you gave me is sitting there saying, "do something with me, please!" Love checking in on you. Barbara

  7. Hi Rebeca. Just popped in to wish you Happy Holidays and to thank you for visiting my blog. It's always nice to see you. There has been a little time today for "leisure." ahem. :) Well by leisure I mean kicking back and using the computer, transfering VHS to DVD and I'm cooking the pork for the tamales. Anyways that is a beautiful piece for Emily. It's wonderful the way you embelish with things. I've got bottles that I want to embelish and this Spring I will do that. Anyway, have a wonderful day and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Take care.
