Blocks

Hello everyone! I just got back from a train trip vacation. What an inspiring way to vacation! I worked and worked on these sweet little wooden blocks cut from a left over 2"x2" piece of lumber. I collaged each block with text from vintage Japanese, English and Spanish books. I used magazine images, vintage maps, pictures from a bird book and of course sheet music.  They look terrific! 1. They do look terrific. How about putting them in one of those glass vases.
I have fond memories of a one day train trip as a child. I love trains and forget they are around.

  2. Thanks Rita! yes, they look great in a glass container. I sold several to a guy who has them displayed on his book case at work. A friend of mine has some in a small bowl on her coffee table. They are very fun!
PS: the train-no matter where you go, is a very 'civilized' way to travel.
