"You Are My World"
A sweet old candle lantern flea market find has been converted to a
glass enclosed box (of sorts . . . ), a mirror on the bottom, reflects
it all for the world to see. A globe hangs in the center, and revolves.
A bottle cap on the globe top, and on the bottom of the globe I attached what looked like to me, a vintage Japanese fishing lure.
Sweet!
The tassel is made from a long piece of orange, mason's twisted nylon construction line that I found on one of my walks. I unraveled the line, and attached bits and bling at each end to glam it up!
Hi Rebeca. How very creative of you. Awesome work. I have a lantern like that. I use it outside with candles. My son gave it to me. I like what you did also the fact that the globe turns. Very nice work.
ReplyDeleteattention, l'oiseau peut s'échapper! joli!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the mirror in the bottom that reflects back the world.
ReplyDeleteI would love to take a walk with you, you find the most amazing stuff and then do such wonderful things with them, great to have the world reflected in you lantern.
ReplyDeleteI always wondered how I could use that mason line I have out in my shed. I used it once for a fence I was building but it's sat around ever since. It's such a unique color and looks like it separates out nicely... I have a framed image that needs some color and a "ruffled" edge at one corner. Should work nicely.
